HomeMelone Ltd is made up of three very different people, with complimentary skills and a shared passion for investing in property as a vehicle to provide good quality homes for people to enjoy. Our partnership was formed based on common work ethics and the ethos that every property we transform must be somewhere we would be happy to move into.
Our mission is to demonstrate to people that we care about the places they live in by transforming neglected, tired, properties into stunning, modern homes.
This is done whilst providing amazing opportunities for investors, giving them the benefit of great returns, without the daily challenges and responsibilities of being a landlord. This provides an amazing win-win partnership, in which our passion for delivering comfortable housing, combined with business acumen, provides a profitable solution for us and, equally importantly, our investors.

The People Behind the Business
Alison Melone
In November 1981, Ali arrived in the UAE for a two-week holiday and never left! In the interim 42 years, it’s safe to say, she has seen a few changes in the landscape.
After a lengthy career in aviation, Ali retired from the corporate world to focus on raising her three children. Then, in 2002 when it became possible for expats to purchase property in Dubai, her passion for property was reignited. Having allowed enthusiasm to cloud her judgement, she suffered a massive financial loss in the local market. This painful experience fuelled her desire to help others avoid a similar fate and made her determined to ensure the safety of investor finance through in-depth analysis and exhaustive due diligence.
With a genuine love of both people and property, it seemed natural that Ali would take responsibility for business development and investor/developer relationships.
The team are currently heavily involved in the Supported Living sector and their latest refurbishment project of a small two-bed flat in Gateshead has gone to a woman with special needs and her two support staff. As these leases are often upwards of five years, they make perfect investments, particularly for overseas investors.
When not on Rightmove, Ali can be found “networking” either on the golf course or the padel court, trying to keep her ridiculously competitive nature firmly in check!
Ali is passionate about providing a sustainable legacy for her children; building a secure income for retirement and helping others do the same.
MatThew Melone
Every team needs a good dose of creativity, which Matthew has in great abundance. From coming up with the HomeMelone name (utter brilliance) to developing the logo, Matthew enjoys the visualisation aspect of the business.
With youth and creativity on his side, Matthew takes care of the social media and company branding. He is also the “boots on the ground” guy who enjoys sourcing and viewing multiple properties. He has a canny eye for where improvements can be made as well as a bank of creative strategies to ensure that win/win result they seek for their investors.
He will source to order in London and in the North East and, through extensive networking, has an impressive list of reputable sourcers throughout the UK.
When not pounding the streets of Newcastle in freezing temperatures, Matthew enjoys treading the boards in local theatres, a good workout in the gym; a bracing “netwalk” with fellow property people; and honing his newfound culinary skills (thank you Mindful Chef). He also makes a mean cocktail.
Matthew is determined to build a profitable property portfolio so that the passive income it produces will allow him to pursue his undying passion for acting.
Tim Riley
Tim was at the same Multiple Streams of Property Income course way back in 2018 where it became apparent that he had the love of numbers and spreadsheets sadly lacking in the two Directors of HomeMelone Ltd. For this reason, he was added to the team and now acts as a consultant for us.
Outside of property, Tim enjoys a good walk in the countryside with his hounds and is constantly kept busy by all that know him due to his handy home-improvement skills.
